Peru 2019

In November, 2019, I had a wonderful time volunteering in Peru for two weeks as part of AFC’s Odyssey Program, an opportunity to expand my story beyond cancer while giving back through volunteering. I was with cancer patient volunteers throughout North America and along with our various volunteer roles, we supported each other in sharing our cancer experiences while exploring Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu. I spent most of my volunteer time helping in a safe house for those undergoing cancer treatment from outside the city.
