Miracle on Ice
The story of my brain cancer diagnosis is tied to my love of hockey and my team. I collapsed in a grand mal seizure just a day and a half after the last game of the season where I scored the most goals I had ever scored. We reached the finals and I tried to skate but barely could. I had yet to start treatment but the seizure and time in hospital affected me enough physically and I could barely skate. But because we went up 4-0 there was no problem with me stepping on the ice for that last 30 seconds. Within a month after, I started chemotherapy and radiation.
