Sasquatch Hockey Club

Picture
Picture
I created the Sasquatch Hockey Club in 1997 recruiting friends who I played hockey with over the years.  The make-up of the team has changed dramatically since and has now won a total of 7 championship. Outside the hockey league, Sasquatch has also been part of a number of tournaments.

Many of the original players have retired making space for a whole new lineup of great players.

Miracle on Ice - 2004 Championship
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVnzY0Lj5Ug

Score sheet from last game of 2003-2004 regular season, February 21, before playoffs where I scored 5 goals and 1 assist, probably the best game I ever had. I collapsed in a grand-mal seizure just a day and a half later and my life changed forever.

Yaron Butterfield is an original Sasquatch member and the franchise founder. In the last game of the 2003-04 season, he had his best game (5 goals and 1 assist) and then was struck down with an injury. He made a triumphant return for the championship game and was the instrumental leader to Sasquatch's first ever championship. Yaron has a nice shot and a great work ethic. He is an inspiration to his teammates every time he steps on the ice.

June, 2003 - Eight months later, my hockey career would change dramatically with the cancer diagnosis; perhaps deep down I knew which might explain my expression!

Rare and much sought after hockey cards...

Go ahead, work hard and never be afraid to try something. Even if you don't make it, at least you can say you tried
