Narrative nonfiction writer with experience in scientific articles, personal essays, short stories, media features, public readings, and scientific lectures.

As a cancer genomics researcher and long-term brain cancer survivor, Yaron brings a rare perspective that bridges science and personal story and is currently completing a memoir, Catching the Light. His goal is that would be beneficial to the cancer community as a whole giving hope and encouragement to those dealing with such a devastating situation.​
​
Yaron has made an significant impact in the genomics world over the last two decades and has often been profiled in the media. Yaron's story is powerful being a very rare survivor of over 20 years where the prognosis is 13-15 months for his cancer, glioblastoma. As a researcher, he has a unique perspective of the cancer experience.
